Why is Apex Legends lagging? Your PC games usually lag when your PC hardware doesn’t meet or above the system requirements, especially your graphics card, RAM and CPU. Another reason for your Apex Legends laggy issue is that the settings in your game and your PC, for example, if in-game settings are too much for your computer, you’ll have the lagging issues.

If the frame-rate isn’t the issue and you’re already connected to the best server in Apex Legends but still experiencing lag, then it’s likely an issue with the router or the number of tasks it’s loaded with. Restart your router. Make sure nothing is downloading in the background on your console or PC while you’re playing the game.

There’s also a ton of general lag in general gameplay. In tests with two PCs that both had a ping of 24ms to the server, Apex – and this was towards the start of the game, when most players are still alive – had a higher average delay than almost every major shooter.

I’ve been trying to play Apex Legends lately but it just runs very poorly on my pc despite having some decently high specs. They are way above the minimum requirements for the game but it is still constantly lagging. I have turned the video settings as low as possible and I still am having huge issues with lag.

Because game runs on source engine which is 17 years old. I can run RDR on ultra and get stable 55 FPS then run apex on lowest and get 50-140 with stutters and noticeable input delay in some areas. Also I had a ps4 pro (sold it) and I’ve seen FPS as low as 29 on Olympus. The game worked fine for the first few seasons, but not anymore.

I have some decent hard ware for apex legends but when ever i try to play and land in the game it always gets laggy and slow and choppy i have tried everything including low settings, high performance in windows graphic settings, changing things in nvidia settings, but nothing has worked at all and also i have tried disabling most things in config …

So why is it laggy? Apparently it’s to do with the game trying to load the friends list and as it’s steam you probably have quite a few friends on your steam list compared to origin. It is being investigated.
